Behind the Mic: Episode 25

Another glorious canvas sullied by our crude irreverent humor. This episode finds myself, Super Fan Matt, and The Director huddling together for warmth in the palatial Comedy Buffet Studios. Mr. Mac is on the phone, safely tucked away in our blast shielded bunker at the Northern Command Post, doing a fine job of keeping all of our undead  listeners at bay. We start the pre-show (better notes and potentially photographed shall be featured in future episodes) by just catching everyone up to speed with where we all are at. The Director tells us about this funny video he saw on youtube showing what Karaoke for the deaf looks and sounds like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiAONEymW1k. I reference this later in the show.
In the last episode, our good pal Super Fan Matt brought our episode to a screeching halt. Absolute standstill, when we were discussing the story of the former teacher who got fired for possessing Simpsons pornography, and Matt one-upped the Dora the Explorer tub girl with "2 Girls One Sippy Cup". This episode we are discussing the story out of amazon.com about the pedophilia book, and Mac saw his chance to throw in the Sippy Cup. Bless him.
Quick little blurb before I publish this already late-running post about the porn shop that sold the winning lottery ticket in Detroit, Mac had made the comment about being in Wendy's. Subliminal message took hold and later that night while discussing the episode with Boomer, we ended up getting Wendy's for dinner. Episode 26 will released soon, heres hoping on a speedy blog post as well!

Behind the Mic: Episode 24

To start these things off, I thought it would be smart to start at the beginning. Taking a leaf out of George Lucas' beard however, I think Ill actually start somewhere in the middle, follow on a litte bit, then completely confuse knuckle draggers by going back to the beginning. This is not a dig at GL I thoroughly enjoyed the Prequel Trilogy, and can easily separate the timelines and have no hatred for Jar Jar Binks, but that is for a future post.
Intrigued by the potential Jar Jar discussion? I'm glad, however I will be starting with Episode 24 because this is the most recent one, having just listened to it. Before the show had started, we were discussing a myriad of unrelated topics, with each having a kernel of the next story embedded in it somewhere for one of the others to pick up and run with it. This sounds extraordinarily inspired, but it is not so much planned as we each just like to interrupt each other's stories. So the creator, host, director of The Comedy Buffet was talking (I'll be sure to take better notes on future episodes, another reason I am starting with 24) about those gag gifts with the cans that spew out "snakes", and our youngest member, a scarce 2 years my junior, had apparently never heard of them, so I sarcastically said that yes, they are new, they had just come out last year. Uproarious laughter comes from The Director, and we continue on, but we allude do the young one's blunder when we mentioned Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Now that was just one story, and may have only been funny to a select few, but I have one or two stories I shall keep in my cyber cap for now, I just do not feel that they do not fit in very well at this time. As I have a new recording going on tomorrow, you may expect a few more posts by the beginning of next week. I hope this all finds you high in AP, HP, Mana, what have you.

My Digital Footprint

From time to time I will be posting behind the mic stories that are discussed on a comedy podcast that I do near-weekly called 'The Comedy Buffet'. Been doing this for a few months now, with a couple colleagues of mine, and the circle that they have drawn into this vast madness of "internet radio".  I say "radio" because instead of saying "comedy podcast that I do", I will sometimes say my "radio" show.
That said, you can find audio recordings of my humor here, where some working class guys like myself tackle the tough subjects, asking the tough questions. Canada banning the KFC Double Down got you vexed? Justin Bieber and  Lindsay Lohan's mysterious Mind Trick they have on today's media got you wondering how simple our collective minds are? These and more make up the Sisyphean/Herculean mission we have accepted to get the attention we crave yet are denied in our humdrum lives. Very proud (at times) of this little "radio" show, and I hope this sheds some more light into this already very transparent font of psuedo-knowledge.

Number One (not affiliated with nor endorsed by William Riker)

Hello all, starting this out for my musings and rants I tend to have nearly every day, but the social circles I commune with in the physical world tend leave me dissatisfied as a ranter (Rantor? Just go with it, this is my humor). So here I am clogging your cyber pores with funny, thought-provoking, and sometimes enjoyable nuggets of my vast pseudo-knowledge. Good night and (for those whom in their experience has such a thing) good luck!
